Damauli remains tense after YCL-YF dispute

Damauli Bazaar remained tense throughout the day today due to a dispute between YCL and Youth Force. The dispute arose after the YCL accused the Youth force of using Dipak KC 'Sagar' of Ghashikuwa5, who deserted PLA's cantonment in Shaktikhor of Chitwan some six months ago, against the Maoists.

The YCL accused the Youth Force of using Sagar in several criminal activities in Dumsi and AbuKhaireni in the name of the Maoists. YCL Tanahun chairman Subarna also accused journalists of using him against the Maoists. However, Sagar refuted the charges.

Later at a press meet, the Youth force accused YCL of kidnapping Sagar on Wednesday and forcing him to admit to crimes he had not committed. In a press release, Sagar said YCL thrashed him and forced him to speak against the journalists.

Pradip Kafle, president of Federation of Nepali Journalists, Tanahun, refuted YCL charges.
