विश्व वातावरण दिवसको अवसर पारेर जिल्ला वन कार्यालय तनहुँको अगुवाईमा दमौलीको सत्यवति लाईनदेखी प्रशासन चोकसम्म अशोका विरुवा रोपिएपनि त्यसको संरक्षणका लािग उचित कदम नचालिएबाट त्यसमा गरिएको लगानी खेर जानेप्रति त्यसक्षेत्रका बासिन्दाले असन्तुष्टि प्रकट गरेका छन् ।
आफूहरुको घरअगाडि विरुवा रोपिएका कारण हर्षित भएका स्थानियबासी त्यसको संरक्षणका लागि कदम नचाल्दा रुष्ट बनेका हुन् । नगरको पर्यावरणको प्रवद्र्धनका र सुन्दरताका लागि भनी साना खालका अशोका विरुवा जिल्लाका विभिन्न कार्यालयको सहयोगमा वन कार्यालयले रोपकेा थियो । दिनहुँ सवारी आवत जावत हुने क्षेत्र भएका कारण पनि सुरक्षाको प्रबन्ध गर्न गाह्रो हुने स्थानियबासीले बताउँदै आएका छन् ।
यता जिल्ला वन कार्यालयका एक अधिकारीले भने यसको व्यवस्था गर्ने काम आफूहरुको नभै नगरपालिकाको भएको बताउनु भयो ।

Viral fever grips two Tanahun schools
TANAHU: Students of Janajyoti Higher Secondary School and Dharma Primary school of Bhimad VDC have been suffering from viral fever for the past few days.
According to Khimakanta Parajuli, principal of Janajyoti Higher Secondary School, 40 students of the school had been suffering from high fever. "Students mostly from Grade VI to X have been affected by the disease," said Parajuli.
Bhimad Primary Health Centre confirmed the disease as viral fever and said that unhygienic water was the reason behind the disease, said Principal Parajuli. The school administration has urged the students to drink boiled water and pay attention to their sanitation. Parajuli said, "We might also shut the school if other students show signs of the disease." Some students of Dharma Primary School have also been affected with the same disease.
Health Inspector of the District Health Office Mukti Pandit said that 40 students of Janajyoti Higher Secondary School and 12 students of Dharma Primary School had received treatment in Bhimad Primary Health Centre.
He said that condition of the sick students was returning to normal. He also informed that they had a Rapid Response Team on standby with full supply of medicines.
District Health Office Tanahun informed that the RRT was in high alert to prevent the disease spreading into other parts of the district. A week ago, about four hundred students of Chhandi Secondary School and Saradi Primary School of Dhorphirdi VDC were affected with the same disease.

NEW MICRO HYDROPOWER PROJECT
Damauli, April 23: Construction of Chap Khola Micro Hydropower Project at the remote Kota VDC, known as the Karnali of Tanahun, is complete at the cost of Rs. 3,027,307.
Ministry for Peace and Reconstruction has chipped in Rs. 800,000, District Development Committee Rs. 143,375 and the VDC itself provided Rs. 400,000.

CHOWMEIN SELLER BECOMES LAKHAPATI
Tanahun, April 22: A 33-year-old man in Tanahun district has become lakhapati in five years selling chowmien.
A local resident of Byas Municipality-7, Bel Bahadur Magar sells more than 200 kilograms of chaumin at Rs. 37 per kg daily.
He was into this profession since more than five years. "I have purchased two ropanis of land at Byas-7 and concrete house worth Rs. 2.5 million and also another house at Byas-10 worth Rs. 2.2 million," said Magar.

क्रान्तिकारीको आक्रमणपछि दमौलीमा तनाव, बजार र राजमार्ग बन्द
स्ववियू निर्वाचनमा पराजित भएको अखिल क्रान्तिकारीले पुनःमतदान गर्नुपर्ने माग गर्दै तनहुँको दमौलीस्थित भानुभक्त बहुमुखी क्याम्पसका प्रमुख तथा निर्वाचित नेविसंघका स्ववियू सभापतिमाथि कुटपिट गरेको छ। आफुमाथिको आक्रमण र क्याम्पस तोडफोडको विरोधमा नेविसंघले दमौली बजार र पृथ्वीराजमार्ग बन्द गराएको छ।
वाईसीएलसहितको क्रान्तिकारी समूहको आक्रमणबाट क्याम्पस प्रमुख बैकुण्ड न्यौपाने नेविसंघका निर्वाचित सभापति राजेन्द्र कुमाल सहितका करिब एक दर्जन विद्यार्थी घाइते भएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ। तीमध्ये निर्वाचित सभापति कुमालसहित केहीको दमौली अस्पतालमा उपचार भइरहेको छ।
बिहान सवा ८ बजेतिर निर्वाचित स्ववियूको पहिलो बैठक बसिरहेका बेला वाईसीएलसहितको क्रान्तिकारी समूहले एक्कासी आक्रमण गरेको नेविसंघले जनाएको छ। क्रान्तिकारीको तोडफोडबाट क्याम्पस र स्ववियू कार्यालयका फर्निचर तथा झ्याल-ढोकामा क्षति पुगेको छ।
नेविसंघकाअनुसार चुनाव आफ्नो पक्षमा नहुने देखेपछि क्रान्तिकारीले स्ववियू निर्वाचनका दिन मतपत्र च्यातेर पुनः मतदान गर्नुपर्ने अनावश्यक विवाद झिकेको थियो। चुनाव निष्पक्ष भएको भन्दै निर्वाचन समितिले मतगणना गरि नेविसंघ निर्वाचित भएको घोषणा गरेपछि क्रान्तिकारी आक्रमणमा उत्रिएको हो। क्रान्तिकारीले भने मतदान निष्पक्ष नभएको भन्दै पुनःमतदान गर्नुपर्ने माग गर्दै आएको छ।
निर्वाचित आफ्ना सभापति तथा क्याम्पस प्रमुखमाथि आक्रमण र क्याम्पसमा तोडफोडको विरोधमा नेविसंघले बिहान साढे १० बजेदेखि दमौली बजार बन्द गराउनुका साथै सडकमा टायर बालेर पृथ्वीराजमार्ग अवरुद्ध गराएको छ। राजमार्ग अवरुद्ध हुँदा पोखरा र आसपासका क्षेत्रमा भित्रने र बाहिरिने सयौं सवारीसाधन रोकिएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ। बिहान खुलेका बजार पसल समेत दुई बिद्यार्थी संगठनको तनावका कारण बन्द भएका छन्।

माओवादी जिल्ला इर्न्चाजद्धारा पत्रकारको अपमान
एकिकृत नेकपा माओवादीका जिल्ला नेताले दमौलीमा शुक्रवार तनहूँका पत्रकारहरुको अपमान गरेका छन् ।
जिल्ला स्वास्थ्य कार्यलय तनहुले आयोजनामा दमौली अस्पतालको भवन शिलान्यास गर्न दमौली आउनु भएका स्वास्थ्य तथा जनसंख्या मन्त्री गिरिराजमणि पोख्रेल सहभागि हुनुभएको कार्यक्रममा समाचार संकलनको लागि उपस्थित भएका पत्रकारहरुलाई माओवादी जिल्ला इन्चार्ज हरिबहादुर चुमानले अपमान गरेका हुन् ।
सो अवसरमा चुमानले पत्रकारहरुलाई कार्यक्रममा नबस्न भन्दै बाहिर जान निर्देशन दिनुभएको थियो । कार्यक्रममा सहभागि नेपाल पत्रकार महासंघका उपाध्यक्षले नेता चुमानले "यो कार्यक्रममा पत्रकारहरुको कुनै काम छैन बाहिर गईहाल्नुस" भनेर निर्देशन दिनुभएको बताउनुभयो । साथै सोही अवसरमा तनहूँका प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी कृष्णप्रसाद लम्सालले पनि "तपाइहरु निस्कीए हुन्छ" भन्दै माओवादी नेताको निर्देशनलाई र्समथन दिएपछि पत्रकारहरुले कार्यक्रम बहिष्कार गरि बाहिरिएका थिए ।
सोही विषयलाई लिएर नेपाल पत्रकार महासंघ तनहूँ शाखाले एक विज्ञप्ती प्रकाशित गरि घटनाप्रति ध्यानाकर्षा भएको बताएको छ । कार्यक्रममा औपचारिक निमन्त्रणा गरेर वोलाइएका पत्रकारहरुलाई यसरी सत्ताको आडमा कार्यक्रममा सरोकारै नभएका माओवादीका जिल्ला इर्न्चाज चुमानले अपमानजनक व्यवहार गर्नुलाई प्रेस प्रति ठाडो अपमान भएको पत्रकार महासंघले जनाएको छ ।
विज्ञप्तिमा आगामी दिनमा त्यस्ता क्रियाकलाप नगर्न चेतावनी दिदै सम्वन्धीत सवैलाई प्रेस जगतको सम्मान गर्न माग गरेको छ । प्रेस चौतारी नेपाल र नेपाल प्रेस युनियन तनहुँ शाखाले पनि विज्ञप्ति जारी गरि उक्त घटनाको निन्दा गरेका छन् ।

DARAIS FLAY GOVT FOR ENLISTING THEM AS MADHESIS
Tanahum, March 1: Tanahun Darai Society has protested the government’s decision to enlist the Darai community within the Madhesis.
Issuing a press release, president of the society Tam Bahadur Darai condemned the government decision.
Saying that the Darais had already been enlisted as indigenous nationalities, the society demanded the government to immediately remove them from the list of castes within the Madhesi community.
